Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Look at me! I just got adopted to my new Forever Home!
My name is Max and I recently came back to rescue, but I needed to be updated on my shots and a few other things... I will need to lose a few pounds as I am a bit chunky, but I tested as heartworm negative, I had bloodwork done and a dental too. I am a sweet, blonde (buff) boy and I need to find a new forever home again. My owner lost her job, her home and she had to be hospitalized and could no longer care for herself or me without help. She is heartbroken and sad, but had no choice and I am sad to lose her, as she has been so good to me.
I actually came to this rescue back in 2007 from a NC shelter as a loving, very happy, blonde cocker boy, 1 to 2 years old. They had found me as a stray at Christmas time and then couldn't adopt me out because I tested heartworm positive. They asked for rescue help and CCR got me neutered, did my heartworm treatment and I had a good recovery. Then I got lucky and got adopted to a great home with this nice family. I have had a good life with them, and I have been very loved.
I am now 7 to 8 years old. I love people and all animals, riding in the car and I am good with cats. I
have never snapped at anyone, I do well at the groomer, walk well on a leash and I am house trained.
I love small children and I love to play soccer with you or run after a ball when you kick it around in
your yard. I really need to be adopted to a home with a fenced yard, otherwise I will always need to
be taken out on a leash as I will take off, if left to just run around freely.
Please donate to help with my care as these nice CCR folks have now taken me to their vet and my vet costs were a bit expensive to get me updated on everything. I would appreciate your kindness and thank you for caring!
If you are interested in adopting this sweet cocker boy, please email: larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an
adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300, which includes all the vetting and medical needs for this dog while in our care.
