My story

Diesel, a Newfoundland x Lab, must have been one cute puppy – totally irresistible! His family bring him home with good intentions but little forethought. Fast forward eight months and we have a rambunctious – and sometimes unruly – adolescent. Nowadays he uses people as a springboard and mouths at their hands, so he’s not so adorable anymore. At this point, Animatch intends to turn him into someone else’s treasure. Diesel has the potential of being an awesome friend but only if you are committed to proper training, exercise, love and attention. The responsibilities are great but the devotion and friendship you receive in return will be priceless. Exercise is important for Diesel but equally essential is mental stimulation. Diesel needs to be enrolled in obedience training classes, soon. If you are looking for a mellow couch potato, that would not be Diesel (remember, he is part Lab). He has an incredible zest for life and his playful puppy spirit will never be lost. Diesel needs an adult family or one where children are older; enthusiastic jumping and tail wagging can send things flying, including small children. He gets along well with other dogs but they must be able to tolerate a large, playful, galoot. The commitment to Diesel must last his lifetime.
