My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

WHAT WERE LINGLING and PANDA DOING IN THE SHELTER? These two precious, adorable, "head-turner" Lhasa Apso sibblings were dumped by their owners, who likely were breeders. They dropped them off at the East Valley Shelter and never looked back! Panda (male) is 14.4 lb, 1.5 yrs old and a gorgeous b/w -- with one of the softest coats ever!! LingLing (female) is 13 lbs, b/w and also has a great coat. Panda did come with a slight congenital heart murmur (he is healthy as a horse and is a-symptomatic)....and LingLing had a slight skin infection from fleas, which has already cleared up (maybe that is why they were given up???)....but these two dogs love each other and are a fantastic pair of dogs. Why anyone would relinquish them for these reasons is beyond us. LingLing is more forthcoming with kisses and hugs; Panda is a bit of a protector! He's just doing his job!! They like to go on walks, although they are not sure what grass is all about...and seem to use pp pads like good little soldiers. They are getting to know what grass is all about and love to romp in it!! It is so much fun watching them play fetch and racing to be the first to grab the toy! Panda likes to carry his around with him! They are quiet, except to alert to a stranger. Panda warms up once he knows you....but neither of these dogs has an ounce of aggression in them. That being said, Panda is a bit fearful so we do not believe they would be good in a family with children. They are smart, loving and friendly to everyone. With training, they will be amazing companions to people and other dogs....don't know about cats. They are a very special pair who will NOT be split up, so please don't ask! Whomever adopts Panda and LingLing will have to be just as special as they are!!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We want to give you the time you deserve, so please help us help you!! We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

Most every Sunday, unless we are doing a special event, we are at Century City Mall (10250 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles 90067 behind the Concierge Booth near Brooks Bros) from 12-4pm. You can see this, and many more, adorable pups at this weekly event! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!!! And don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on events we may be doing! See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption....and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.
