My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Morgan is a handsome boy with personality to match! He's a big goofball who will make you smile on the rainiest of days. No one has been able to resist his adorable Boxer underbite & the typical Boxer booty wiggle. It's hard to resist smooching his adorable face when he tips his head and winks at you....we dare you to try!

At only 7-1/2 years old, he is about a perfect companion as one could hope for. He knows basic commands like Sit, Down, Stay, Heel and Come. He knows to Sit and Wait at meal time. He's playful yet past the rambunctious puppy stage. He knows to chew a good bone but not your shoes. He enjoys walks but won't pull you down the street. Morgan does well in a fenced yard but also stays close off-leash with no fence at his foster home. He's great with other dogs, cats and kids too. In fact, he loves everyone he has met and they love him right back.

Morgan & his littermate were adopted as puppies, spending 7 years together, until their owners brought them to a shelter. Morgan was sad & lonely after his brother was adopted first but soon a family adopted him too and he thought life was good again. Sadly, the resident dog did not accept Morgan. In spite of help from a professional trainer, the other dog refused to be nice to Morgan. In Morgans best interest the family knew it would be best (and safest for Morgan) to find him a new home. That's when they contacted us at Izzys Place.

He's doing wonderful at his foster home, that he shares with several other dogs, & gets along great with all of them. He spends his days exploring the yard, playing in the snow and waiting for Spring to arrive so he can roll in the soft green grass. Morgan fits easily into just about any lifestyle. He enjoys being outdoors with his person but is a couch potato inside(literally, if he sees an open seat on the couch he's hopping right up there!). He's happy with a walk or two each day, trips to the dog park, car rides or anything else as long as he's included in the family outings but is also trustworthy with free roam of the house while his people are away.

He's a healthy mature adult dog with a heart of gold....now all he needs is a family to call his own.
