My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SAFE Class XVII is now in session. Seven shelter dogs are having the times of their lives, learning, playing, and receiving lots of TLC at WKCC (Western KY Correctional Complex). They will be crate trained, housetrained, able to walk on a loose leash, able to respond to commands, and they will learn some tricks to entertain and amaze. The dogs are spayed/neutered, on flea & tick and heartworm preventative, up to date on all vaccinations, and fully vetted. The adoption fee is $150.00 and you may request an application at safehavenky@gmail.com. The deadline for completing an application has been extended to March 20. My name is Sir Barkley. That's kind of a fancy name, isn't it? Let me explain. The ladies who came to get me at the shelter for SAFE thought I was so sad and terrified that I needed a strong name (They even put a Sir in front of it, so I would someday be proud and noble.) and I'm working on that. The ladies think I might have been used as a breeder---I'd like to keep that to myself. I mean who wants his sex life out there for all to see? Really! I am a little mistrustful, but I would never bite or snap. I just want cuddles and lots of TLC. I am quite diminutive at nine pounds, so I will fit in any lap. By the way, a name for my hybrid breed is Peke-a-Chi. I like it.
