My name is Noel and I am looking for my forever home!

Many people ask me how I got my name. Here is my story. I got lost and was running around a neighborhood trying to stay warm in the cold December weather. All of the sudden I noticed all of these cars coming to a home for something called a "Christmas Eve Celebration";. I saw one specific
family that looked really friendly when they pulled up and I followed them from their car right up to the home. I heard the Dad say "if that cute little dog is still loose when we get done at this party, we should take her and get her warm". So I sat there on the door step for 3 hours waiting! When that family came out to come home, I batted my eyes at the Daddy and it was over. They scooped me up, put a blanket on me to get me warm, and took me to their home. They never could find my original owners. But then they told me they were foster parents for an organization called CRT and they would help me find a forever home. They named me Noel, and the rest is history!

I love this CRT foster home because they are so nice. But I would sure like a forever home to call my own. Let me tell you about myself. I am about 1 - 2 years old. I am past my puppy stage, but I am a young dog with alot of energy. I would LOVE to have children in my forever home so I could play with them. I am about 10 pounds, so a good size for a family! I have heard my foster family call me a "Chiweenie"; so I guess I am the best of two breeds! That makes me proud because everyone says I am adorable!

I love to play with not only my humans, but with other small dogs. I will run up to the other dogs in my home and beg them to play with me. We will wrestle and we will chase each other. It is so fun. I also play a little with toys. When I am done playing, I love to snuggle with you. So if you have a nice lap, I would love that.

I am pretty good at going potty outside. One little thing - I like you to stand outside with me while I am going potty. If you put me outside by myself, I am nervous because I am worried that I am going to be left out in the cold again to fend for myself. So I totally forget to potty and come running back to the door. I think I'll outgrow that over time when I understand that I'm safe and will not be left behind! But in the mean time, I like having company when I potty! I do love laying in the sun, so spring and summer will be fun for me!

One other thing I need to tell you - I just hate crates. I don't like being crated up and I'll cry and beg to get out! My foster parents discovered this really quickly. The first night as we were going to bed, they put me in a crate. I cried. They felt sorry for me and let me out of the crate. I raced them into the warm bed. I won - I got there before they did and burrowed under the covers. After all those hours out in the cold, they had mercy on me and let me sleep in that nice bed under the covers. I do have to admit, I REALLY like that. So if you want a sleeping buddy, please pick me. I promise to sleep through the night and I won't bother you at all.

I am really smart. My foster Mom says I can probably learn commands and tricks. I am especially proud of one trick I taught myself. I call it the Spiderman routine. If there is snack food on the living room coffee table and my humans leave the room, I sneak up to the table, climb up there like Spiderman, and gobble all the snacks down! Yummy. My foster Mommy says that is NOT a positive thing, and she told me she will warn my forever family not to leave food out where I can reach it. Bummer!

I guess that is all for now. Please help spread the word that I'm looking for a forever home with a great family. Can't wait for my New Year's dreams to come true!

Noel is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
