Rocko's Story...
Rocko is a complete lovebug. He is approx 1 year old and weighs 47 lbs. Rocko is completely housebroken, loves kids and gets along with other dogs. His foster mom is in love with him and says he is passive, affectionate, goofy and adorable! He even went for a car ride today and was good in the car! What more can you ask for in a fur friend? Rocko loves kids. He especially adores the girl in his foster family and seems to have picked her as his "person." Rocko bonds very quickly and strongly with his person so we think he would do best in a home with people who are home more of the time. Rocko is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He is being fostered on long island NY with kids and other dogs and is great with everyone. To meet this gorgeous boy please contact us at Adoptions@GimmeShelterAnimalRescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocko, a Sagaponack Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Sagaponack, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Sagaponack.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sagaponack already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sagaponack breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sagaponack paves the way for another one to be saved.
