Rhoda's Story...
This sweet girl is RHODA. She is about 2 years old and 30 pounds. She was found as a stray. She is a typical herding dog with lots of natural instincts and always aware of her surroundings. She is a little vocal but this is also typical of her breed. She is friendly with people and other dogs. She does like to take charge of situations and be the leader but we think once she settles into a new routine she will fall into place. She is a high energy dog and would do well with an active family that understands her needs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rhoda, a Trenton Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Trenton, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
