Here's what the humans have to say about me:
WE ARE SORRY BUT WE ADOPT ONLY WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA
Meet Juno, an outrageously handsome red and white, blue eyed boy. One of the many characteristics that a Siberian Husky is known for is their high energy level. Juno is a prime example of that; he makes us wonder where the “off” switch is.
Even though Juno's favorite activity is playing with either other dogs or humans, he will pause for some love and attention. Juno also enjoys just lying around chewing on toys and Nylabones. He is very mouthy in his play with humans so this will require some training to teach him what is appropriate human play and what is not. Unless and until he is trained out of this habit, we do not recommend that he be placed in a home with young children. We also do not recommend that he be placed in a home with small dogs, cats, or other small animals, as he considers them prey (another common characteristic of a Husky - high prey drive).
In addition to his mouthy play, Juno will need to continue to work on learning house manners. He is partially housebroken. It is likely he was kept outside as most Huskies are housebroken by this age. He is also very curious as to what may be found on counters. His adopter will need to continue reinforcing the additional training that he requires.
Juno pulls on lead when walked, getting very excited about where he is going and the outdoor environment. He is very receptive to verbal commands so training should not be too difficult with time and consistency. Juno already knows the “sit” command. He is crate trained but over time, once Juno is fully housebroken and fully trained on house manners, he will most likely not require the crate when left alone, the majority of Huskies never need a crate preferring to stay close to their humans.
Juno is low Heartworm positive but otherwise healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. The Heartworm will be treated using the "slow kill" method. SHRF will provide his adopter with instructions on this method as well as supply the heartworm medication.
This boy just oozes animal magnetism and will go a long way toward making all your neighbors jealous as you parade him down the street or at the dog park. Make him yours by filling out an adoption application on our website, www.siberrescue.com, today.
