This sweet Momma dog , we have named Cassie, was taken off the streets and into a shelter in November. On Thanksgiving night she presented the shelter with a gift, her one and only baby pup. In spite of less than perfect conditions; she took excellent care of the little fella and has proven to be an excellent Mom. Shelters can be very scary places for dogs and especially those with pups; but Cassie didn't "shut down" as many do; but only bonded more with her baby. As of now, they are in seperate foster homes and both are doing very well; so we felt we could find them seperate Forever homes. However, if interested in adopting her boy also, his name is Winston. Cassie is about 3 years old, very sweet, very smart and trainable. She is such a good girl, she rides well in the car, gets along with other dogs and is housetrained.
