for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Jayvyv's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jayvyv's Story...
8 month old male, heartworm negative, vaccinated.
Jayvyn and his litter mates have lived their entire life in a backyard pen. They are friendly but a little unsocialized and need some work. Jayvyn is the most energetic of the group and can play forever. He loves attention. Jayvyn has had no training, but is very smart and eager to please. Australian Shepards are NOT couch potatos and need daily exercise and things to do. They are great pets for the right person, but are usually too high energy for an average family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jayvyv, a Smithfield Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Smithfield, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Smithfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
