Barney's Story...
Meet Barney! This adorable guy is a Basset Hound mix, although the kids in his foster home like to call him a "hot dog hound"! Barney is around a year old and came to us from a shelter that had too many dogs. He's a bit shy at first but warms up quickly and is very lovable. He loves, loves, loves other dogs and we'd really like to see him go to a home with a four legged friend to play with. Barney is housebroken, crate trained, and knows how to sit on command. He likes treats and would love to learn new things! Barney would do well with kids and walks nicely on a leash. He's a silly and sweet guy that will keep you laughing! Please fill out an application on our website to set up a time to meet him - http://alltheyneedislove.org/adoption-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barney, a Medford Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Medford, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Medford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medford paves the way for another one to be saved.
