Here's what the humans have to say about me:
AVAILABLE 12-30-13 On 12-27-13 an Animal Control Officer picked a dog up from a man who no longer wanted him. The dog was on a chain in the yard, so the chain was unhooked and the dog was loaded into the dog box on the back of the Animal Control Truck. When he arrived at the Shelter the Boxer/Terrier Mix was taken into the office to be tested for heart worms and vaccinated. There was a terrible odor coming from the collar and when they went to remove it, the Staff had to peel it from the skin where it had grown into the skin on the underside of the dog's neck. There was a horrible slash in his neck. The Staff cleaned it and started the dog on an antibiotic. This dog was Ledger who was so tolerant and loving through the whole process - his tail wagged and he wanted to give kisses. His neck has healed now and Ledger is still as sweet and friendly as ever. He walks well on a leash and loves attention. Please consider adopting Ledger and giving him the loving, caring home that he deserves.
