Simon says ADOPT ME. ahaaa yes I am quite the character, as you can see. Anyhew, in case you didn't get the joke my name is Simon! I am about a year old and the perfect size if you ask me...40 pounds! My breed is just a total guess here folks. I mean not like I come from royalty or anything in fact I came from the streets! The streets of East Liverpool. I was brought to the pound and noone claimed me so I went up for grabs. No one adopted me so I came into rescue. NOW I know that this isn't my last stop, but sure is a good one. My foster family absolutely loves me. Oh sure, sure I need some work on a few things (keep reading lets tell ya all the good first) but I am a puppy afterall! I love to snuggle. I love other dogs. I am good boy in the car. I am not a fan of the crate and in fact I figured out a way to open one of them so my foster mom got all smart on me and now I can't get out. DARN because I am a puppy and I would love to go out and investigate and explore while she is at work. She doesn't seem to think this is a good idea. I mean you surf the counters a few times and they get all mad about it and stuff. Oh, so yeah now that the cats out of the bag let me tell you that I am a curious guy. I like to check out what you are cooking and whats up on the counters. NOT a big DEAL folks my foster mom just keeps a squirt bottle on hand and lets me know that I am not allowed and I actually am not very fond of that correction so she wins!!!! My potty habits are getting better too and I do hold it in the crate. When I am out and about I am still a young gent and I was JUST neutered so you need to watch me and be consistent. As long as you are consistent we will be just fine, but if you leave me to my own devices, well that won't be good! I love love love to snuggle. I like to lay on the back of the couch, which is kind a funny b/c I am a long boy lol! So if you are looking for a dog that is good with kids, dogs, and calm cats well then SIMON SAYS FILL OUT THIS APPLICATION

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SIMON - 40 pounds, a Mentor Boxer/English (Redtick) Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/English (Redtick) Coonhound for sale in Mentor, or seeking a Boxer/English (Redtick) Coonhound dog from a breeder in Mentor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mentor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mentor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/English (Redtick) Coonhound breeders who help with Boxer/English (Redtick) Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mentor paves the way for another one to be saved.
