Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cookie is a 7 yr old DNA sexed male Blue and Gold Macaw - he is comical, smart and beautiful - but has the typical macaw attitude of bullying/lunging to try and get his way. He will need an experienced Macaw person! He does favor women more so than men, and can be a little UN-trusting of hands at times. He LOVES to take showers, and is used to staying out of his cage most of the day. He tends to get tired and will let you know when he is ready to go to bed in the early evening. Cookie is now on a 3 mix pellet diet and he loves pasta, apples, grapes, celery and has now learned how to crack open nuts! He LOVES almonds in the shell, he asks all the time "want a cracker?"; We are continuing to work on trying veggies daily to expand his taste buds with healthy foods. He has started to like to chew wooden toys and is looking for someone to spoil him for the rest of his life!

An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird’s cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
Parakeets, Cockatiels, Lovebirds: Fee’s for these birds are optional, but please consider donating any amount you can afford – your donations allow us to help more animals in need!
