My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our darling Darla is a purebred female Boston terrier that is 7 years old and weighs 22lb. now, but could use a few more. When we first got her, she weighed even less and was very depressed and it was hard to get her to eat.

When she went to a quieter foster home with two other dogs in the house, she started perking up, playing some and interacting socially. We think she was crated most of her life because her back legs were a little weak, but the muscles have started developing and she is looking and acting stronger every day.

Darla is a very calm, well-behaved little girl. She is house-trained, crate-trained, asks permission to get in your lap or on the couch. She is very much a couch potato, but is playing and running around the yard more and more. We think that having at least one other dog to give her a play buddy is important.

Darla is spayed, microchipped, had all her vaccines and is heartworm negative. She has no other health issues.

To learn more about Darla, please call her foster mom, Nancy, at 803-627-7920. To adopt Darla, go to bostonrescueofsc.com and fill out the adoption application. Darla's adoption fee is $300.
