My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** There is an application process and a $375 adoption fee. Please fill out the CTHDR Adoption Application. **

Skipper is a wonderful example of a well loved dog who has come into rescue through no fault of his own. 5 year old Skipper and his brother Trout came into rescue due to a young child in the family being allergic to dogs. The family was heartbroken, but had no other choice.
Skipper is a medium energy smooth coat Border Collie who will need and 2 to 3 half hour walks a day and 2 to 3 15 minute sessions of quick energy burning play with another dog or just by throwing a Frisbee or tennis ball for him in the back yard.
He would do well in obedience class and just excels in social settings. He is truly a good ambassador for his breed!
Skipper is neutered, a social butterfly, who on a recent trip to the store went up and down the aisles looking to greet people. He was rewarded time and again by the dog loving strangers he met and especially loved when a young child came up to hug him. This boy really does smile and wiggles his entire body when he is happy.
Skipper loves to ride in the car, he is housebroken, crate trained and gets along well with other dogs and the dog savvy cats in his foster home, but he may chase a cat if tempted. He knows basic obedience commands such as sit, down, leave it and wait/stay. He does not jump on people and is very well mannered in social situations.
Skip is up to date on vaccines, Heartworm negative, neutered and has been on heartworm and flea tick prevention.
