My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Greetings, I'm Hedwig. You can see that my big round face and eyes look a lot like the owl eyes of Harry Potter's Hedwig. Mine are set into a jet black coat, just like the build and coat of a showy Bombay, though I'm just a regular kitty gal.

I was found abandoned outside, thin and alone, and rescued by a nice veterinary technician. I lived at Mountain Shadows Hospital until I got better, then came here. I've put on some weight and my coat is starting to look sleek again.

They tell me I'm a senior, but that doesn't mean I'm not a feisty little thing or that I don't still love to play, as you can see. I can have my loving moments, when I purr in your arms, even though I can be a little opinionated at times. I do fine with other cats, even without my claws, though I tend to boss them around (even big Merlot!). I might do best with just another nice cat or two.

I have a special adoption fee of $40 this month thanks to a kind sponsor who wants us senior kitties to find our forever homes. That includes not only a complete dental (courtesy of Mountain Shadows) but my negative virus test, spay, vaccinations, microchip, food & litter starter kit, a month of free insurance and a free vet visit voucher.
