This is Salty. Isn't he a little cutie. He has great coloring. He is a playful guy and loves to play with squeaky toys. Do you like throwing a ball? Salty will chase it for you. When he wags his tail his whole back end will move with it. He rubs up against you to get your attention. He loves to play with other dogs, he will engage them to play with him. He likes grass too and will roll around on it. Salty know his basic commands and will sit and lay down when asked. He is food motivated so you can teach him more tricks more easily. If you pull his ears or tail he doesn't seem to care. This makes him a good candidate for a family with kids. Can you give Salty the home he deserves?

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)

NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
