Fred's Story...
Fred is a Shelter Puppy Dog:
adoption date is 1-16-08 and can be put to sleep any time after the adoption date. As of this Month, Fred is still at the shelter in need of rescue.

This handsome young man is around 3 years old, is Medium/Large in size, walks on a leash, sits when asked, he appears to be a very sweet & loving young man, happy, full of love & fun, pretty well mannered, playful, active and is a special boy that is in need of a family to love.

Dawn gave a little test by looking in Fred's mouth, pulling on his ears and tail, holding his paw and giving him a little kiss and hug. Fred appeared to past the test with no problems, he's such a fun loving dog with a happy personality. Like all of our shelter dogs, we suggest a well fenced yard for Fred to play and be safe in. We feel he may make an active fun loving & loyal companion. If you wish, Fred can be tested around Dogs & Cats here at the shelter.

Act quickly to adopt Fred. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fred, a Grass Valley American Pit Bull Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Grass Valley, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Grass Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grass Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grass Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grass Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
