Meet Romeo a lovable black poodle! He is an adult at 3 years of age approx. Little Romeo weighs under 15 lbs and when he first came into rescue he was so skinny that we had to wait and give him time to be healthy again before we could vaccinate and fix him. Foster mummy was taking extra special care to feed him high quality food to make sure he would be healthy again. Now that he has been in foster care for a few weeks we know a lot more about Romeo. He is dog and people friendly we don’t know about cats for sure but this sweetie does not show any signs of a prey drive. He is definitely not a dominant dog, and loves, loves to play. Sweet Romeo does suffer from separation anxiety so no apartment or condo home applications will be accepted for him while he is not destructive in the home however when left alone he is extremely vocal! This too with time can pass as Romeo learns that you leave but will come home again.
Romeo when he was first rescued was not clean in the home but in a few short weeks foster mummy has fixed that but you will have to continue with training to be sure that he understands all the rules of his new home. He is incredibly smart, highly responsive and easy to train. He is sweet but cheeky, cheerful and delightful – a true gem of a sweetie, we will never know what his life was before he joined our family but Romeo has put all that in the past and if only looking forward to his future in a loving home with a family of his very own.
