DUKE's Story...
Duke is an 8-9 month old American Bull dog mix. He was dropped off at a retired couple’s house in TN when his owners didn’t want him anymore. The kind couple is known for fostering dogs in need. With 6 dogs of their own, they cannot keep Duke even though they would love to. Duke is a friendly guy. He loves to run in the fenced yard and play with the other dogs. He is crate and house trained and loves to lay on the couch, bed or your lap. Duke has a favorite toy pillow that when you tell him to get it, he will run down the hall and get it out of his crate and bring it to you. He loves to sleep with it and play with it. He sits for a treat of course, or sometimes without. He is active and playful and loves life… now who wouldn’t want a dog like that in their lives? ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Why Adoption is a Great Option

DUKE, a Salem American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Salem, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
