My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buttercup and Trixie are very bonded girls, who are both about one year old and 6 months (as of September, 2014). Trixie is the one who now instigates the whistling for veggies and makes the demands for floor time. AND she encourages Buttercup to do the same. They both act very timid when they are going to be picked up, but it is all an act. They both settle down extremely well for lap time and purr, purr, purr.... They're becoming excellent lap pigs. Both are very calm when being held. They adore floor time and spend a good portion of their day underneath their foster mom's TV, venturing out periodically to try to reach the ultimate Mecca...the off limits area under the couch. They are vocal pigs, talking to their foster family and each other quite a bit. Wheeks, burbling, whistling- a variety of sounds.

They both have good appetites. Buttercup will eat virtually any reasonable pig food and eats a good amount of hay. Trixie prefers greens and will take them over hay or pellets, any day. She needs to have veggie limits strictly enforced.

Both take their vitamin C well and are reasonably comfortable with a syringe.

They are both sweet, gentle girls who would be great in any family. They would love to go from shelter pigs to pampered diva piggies in a loving forever home.
