Curley's Story...
Curley is a beautiful Shepherd and Dalmatian mix who is 18 months old (2/14) and weighs 60 pounds. He is an owner surrender because they owner could no longer care for him. He likes people, and he gets along with other dogs as long as he is introduced slowly. We don't know how he likes cats since he isn't near them at the shelter. Curley would make a great family dog. He's always smiling and seems to enjoy life. Curley is currently in Madison, Mississippi but transport can easily be arranged to New England through Animal Rescue Front! If you're interested in taking him into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here: http://www.animalrescuefront.org/Adoption-Form.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Curley, a Groton Labrador Retriever/Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Dalmatian for sale in Groton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Dalmatian breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
