2-10-08 After being here for MANY months Ellen's foster family can't bear to part with that sweetie. She has found her forever home - hooray!
6/15/08 Ellen is in Maine and this sweet girl would love to meet you! She's healthy and loving and looking for a home.
UPDATE 2/25/08 Check out new pics. Ellen has tested positive for heartworm -always a concern when dogs have to stay at the shelter for periods of time - but she is starting her treatment soon. She should be ready to travel north towards the end of March. Could this little cutie be the one to add joy to your home? She needs sponsorship, a foster family and/or adopters.
Update 1/13/08: Poor Ellen is having to live in a crate because the shelter is full again. Ellen has definitely come out of her shell and seems to be a very good natured dog. One of the ladies that works with us seems to think that she may be in part a Podengo Portugueso. Whatever her breed is, she certainly deserves a real home. Please consider fostering her until we can find her a good home.
12/02/07: This is Ellen, a beautiful and sweet Terrier-mix. Ellen was picked up in a neighboring town and really needs to find her owner right away. She appears a bit skittish at times, but that is to be expected as she doesn't know why she ended up here :( Ellen is no trouble at all and wouldn't take up too much room in your home- please consider fostering her until a forever home is found for her.
