Meet Debo! Debo is a 7 year old long-haired shepherd, that stands roughly 24" high. Debo loves people and dogs, is great with kids, ignores cats, and has been introduced to horses and cows. He is always at the door to greet whoever is coming home.
Deboâ€™s favorite activities are walks, belly rubs, and a good long nap after his
walk. Not even cold, snowy Saskatoon winters can stop his love of walks and he
shows this by having a good roll in the snow at the end of his walk. Debo does pull on his leash for the first little bit of his walk because he is so excited to go but settles down a few minutes in.

Debo came to New Hope because his owner could no longer keep him. He is house-trained, but not crate trained this is okay because he has wonderful manners in the house and can be trusted alone loose in the house through the night or day. Debo would be great for anyone looking for a dog where the training work is done, and just wants a lovely companion dog.

Unfortunately Debo is about 30lbs overweight (he weighs about 100lbs and
should weigh closer to 70lbs) and will need an owner that is committed to a long-term weight loss program of diet and exercise. Because of his weight, he has also developed arthritis in his hind legs and is on a glucosamine supplement to help manage his joints. This hasnt stopped his enthusiasm for walks though!
