Hiya, I’m Miss Leah! I’m a young, spunky little female Pomeranian, Yorkshire-something cute mix! I’m only about 5lbs, but I’ve got a big heart to love you with. I’m estimated to be about a year old, and was brought into NBS animal Rescue as a foster from the nice people at River Rouge Animal Shelter. I’m still a little shaken up that someone wouldn’t want me, but my friends here at NBS assured me that there is a family out there that would love and adore a sweet girl like me fur-ever!
Nowadays, I spend my day trying to get attention, ear scratches and belly rubs. My favorite place in the whole wide world is to be on someone’s lap. I’m an expert at cuddling, so I would know. Oh yes, and I also love squirrel watching and chasing. If you want a squirrel free yard, I’m definitely your gal! My foster siblings are showing me the ropes on how to give the best puppy dog eyes too. Although sometimes I think people rub my tummy because of my unique smile (I’ve got a cute lil’ underbite) Lately, I’ve been working in learning basic training skills. That’s where the treats come in handy and delicious- Yum!

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.
