My story

Well Hello there, my name is Kelsey. I’m a lovey female, poodle. I came to NBS Animal Rescue pretty recently from the nice folks at River Rouge Animal Shelter. I was brought in a matted, oh so smelly mess. Thanks to kind sponsors and Bingo pet Salon, I recently had a makeover and am feeling much better. Now, I’m in foster care, and dreaming of a family of my own someday. I’m a very good girl, potty trained and love to try and walk my humans daily (although they keep insisting they are the ones taking ME for a walk!)

I love to curl up in a warm place, and just have somebody talk to me sweetly. As you may be able to tell from my photo, I still need to put on some weight. Which turns out to mean that I can have lots of good food, and the treats and training are plentiful! Even though I am perfectly potty trained, I am still working on crate training. I’m just so scared of being left again. I’m starting to learn that there are good humans out there, and many of them are very kind – especially the volunteers and supporters of NBS Animal Rescue. They assured me that somewhere out there, there is a family that would love and care for me, and I’d never have to worry about being left again. Do you think you could help my find my forever home?
