My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Muffy’s life has taken a dramatic change for the better. A few months ago concerned people contacted animal control as her owners would not allow Muffy in their home and were not feeding her. Sometimes neighbors would offer her food, or she would search through trash cans for something to eat. Animal Control picked her up, and she was taken to a shelter. Muffy was liked by all of the staff as she is so calm and loving. Everyone at the shelter was sad as she was deemed “unadoptable” and scheduled to be “put down” due to her age (9 yrs), a large ulcer on her eye and the need for dental care. Local rescue people started a phone campaign to save Muffy, and a donor asked Maltese Rescue CA to accept Muffy and get her eye repaired.

Muffy was immediately transferred to a foster home, and the next day she was seen at the Eye Clinic for Animals. Muffy had surgery that day to repair her large corneal ulcer. One month after surgery, her eye doctor is amazed how well her eye has healed and feels her vision was saved.

Today Muffy is a very happy, content miniature white poodle enjoying life in her foster home. Her foster mother rates Muffy as the sweetest and easiest foster dog she has ever had in her home. Muffy gets along with everyone and enjoys the company of other dogs.
