Blackie's Story...
Hi, they call me Blackie! I came from a house of puppies that were surrendered to the organization because our parents had us as an ooops. The owners of our parents couldn't care for us so PAAW was very nice to take us in and raise us. We were born on May 30th 2013. We are very small for our age and we are very puppy like still.

We were very malnourished when we came to the rescue and that stunted our growth, so we will probably never grow to be bigger than 30 -35 pounds.

I am very playful and full of energy. I love all people and pets. I just want to play with whoever will play with me. I am still learning what toys are but they do intrigue me. HOWEVER, I do love bone and chew toys! I am currently working on how to 'sit' before I am allowed to get attention. I am getting pretty good at it.

I currently sleep in my crate and stay in the crate when my foster parents are not home. I am working on house training right now. I forget I am supposed to ask to go outside, but if you take me out, I will do my business like a good girl.

If you would like to arrange a meet and greet, please complete our online adoption evaluation form. You'll be glad you did!

The adoption fee of $150 includes current vaccines and microchip!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blackie, a Warren American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Warren, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Warren.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Warren already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Warren breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Warren paves the way for another one to be saved.
