Here's what the humans have to say about me:
2/8/08 Millie is home! We are so happy for her!
2/3/08: We have wonderful news! Millie has found a fantastic home and is leaving the shelter very soon!
1/19/08: Millie is finally finished with her heartworm treatment- YEAH MILLIE! Please consider helping her!
UPDATE 12/15/07: Millie is almost completely finished with her heartworm treatment (about a week left to be safe). Anyway, if you are looking for a super gentle family dog, this is the dog for you. Millie is the most wonderful dog in the world! Really! She has NEVER had an accident in her foster home (and she has been there for almost 4 months now! She is great with children (at least older ones) and is overall a very calm girl. She tends to take on a motherly role with other dogs, so she would likely do better with more submissive dogs (or males). She would also do great by herself. Millie really needs to find a loving, forever home (she already thinks she lives with her foster family). Millie would do better with a family where the man of the home (if there is one) is gentle as well because she appears to be a bit timid around men at times.
Update 11/19/07: Millie is about half-way through Stage 1 Heartworm Treatment and is doing very well. She has 2 more weeks to go until her last Treatment (so about 4 weeks from today and she'll be good to go!). Millie is a sweetheart- definitely a mother figure (she likes to keep others in line (and rightfully so!). She would be wonderful with older children as she is a gentle soul. She is still timid around men, but is learning to trust.
This dog is at our partner shelter in Arkansas or in foster care in Arkansas unless otherwise marked as "in Maine" or "In New England".
