Hi there. My name is Gus, but you may remember me as Tater! I am about 5 years old and I weigh about 45 lbs.
I was found as a stray in the Salem area with my best buddy Trigger and picked up by the pound. Nobody has called to claim us or came looking for us so now we are looking for new homes.
I am a very, very super sweet boy. I love people. I am pretty well mannered. I know how to sit for treats and beg. I seem to have possibly been an inside dog, however I do need reminded that it is not okay for me to mark my territory.
I seem to get along well with other dogs here at the pound. I am a real ladies' man. I love the girls!! I am also a big fan of my buddy Trigger. We like to cuddle and give each other kisses and clean each other's ears... Such lovey boys!!

**UPDATE** I was adopted for a while but was returned because they were unable to completely house train me.
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER JULY 25, 2014.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
