My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our beautiful German Shepherd Sage is in need of a very special new forever home, one that will understand and manage her properly. She was born in June 2010, is currently close to about 100 pounds, and had a lifestyle that taught her to be protective in her formative years. Sage was living in a cramped apartment in the city and only taken out briefly on a short leash to do her business. We know that she is responsive to training and will bond with a new caregiver, but will require a person living alone with a quiet lifestyle. Sage adores her foster caregiver, but does not take kindly to visitors. Her ideal adopter lives in the country with a large fenced yard, has German Shepherd and training experience, and will be able to assume the alpha role to ensure that Sage’s protective instincts are kept in check. All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for heartworm, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 ($275 for senior dogs and $125 for cats) and an adoption contract.
