Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET BANDIT! - NEEDS ADOPTER
NOTE: ALL INQUIRIES PLEASE EMAIL: pets.katrina@gmail.com
Bandit is a sweet and loving 1.5-2 yr old boy. He is a handsome tri-colored guy (tan, black and white) and would be best described as a cross of an Anatolian Shepherd and a pillow pet. He is good-natured and let the shelter volunteer inspect his paws, ears, and teeth at their first meeting. (that might sound silly but it's a big deal to your vet.) Bandit is neutered, all shots up to date, heart worm tested negative, micro chipped and dewormed.
Bandit plays well with others and would love to be part of a family or a family with dogs. He still has a puppy-ish nature so he will need to be taught proper manners. He is a very smart dog and would excel at obedience training. He would also be suitable for advanced training such as agility, rally, or even service dog work. Bandit will not do well isolated - he is NOT a dog that would be happy in the back yard for hours and days on end. He is crate/house trained, and travels well in a vehicle.
Due to his size (over 50lbs) and young age, he may not be suitable for young children under the age of 10 yrs. He would do best with people who understand leadership when raising dogs. With his herding breed/instincts, he does have a strong interest in chasing squirrels and cats, so should not be in a home with cats or small critters.
If you need a jogging or hiking partner then he is your guy! With proper training and socialization, Bandit will make a wonderful and deserving addition to an active household.
If you could be a great match for Bandit, please contact us ASAP by email at: pets.katrina@gmail.com
