Lady Mary's Story...
Lady Mary has grace and dignity in every situation! She doesn't get ruffled, she never meets a stranger, and every day is a GOOD day for Mary. She's a totally easy going girl and just as easy to have around. She shares her day with six other cats and four dogs -- and fits right into the crowd. Lady Mary is estimated to be three years old and singlehandedly got herself and four other cats rescued in one swoop. They were abandoned in a very undesirable location and when kind people approached, Lady Mary took the lead. Swirling around their legs she convinced them to rescue her and her friends...and the rest is history. She's 100% litter pan trained, healthy, has had her full service vet appointment and would like to be in charge of the Welcome Wagon at your house. Meet her by emailing info@FORrescue.net. You may also complete an application at www.FORrescue.net, click on resources. Thank you for reading about Mary.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady Mary, a Homewood Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
