My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella Luna is a big beautiful spayed female with stunning blue eyes, 4 years old. She is a strong girl, and has lived with other large dogs. She was sadly relinquished to Animal Control by her loving family following an incident where her underground fence was not able to contain her, and she escaped to severely injure some neighborhood goats and sheep. She reportedly comes from sled dog lineage, please call for details.

Del Norte County Animal Control is located in rural Crescent City, CA (a tiny coastal city on the OR/CA border). We have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t come outside and play. Please consider making a difference in a dog’s life and adopt from our shelter!

We are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm.
We are closed Saturday and Sunday.

Adoption fees are between $15 - $95 depending on if the dog has been previously fixed and if you are adopting in Del Norte County or out of the county.
