Bentley's Story...
My name is Bentley and want to tell you all about me. My story is kind of sad, see I was born under a house in a very poor area of Houston, Texas called the 5th Ward. I spent 5 weeks during this cold weather under the house with my mother and siblings until the day that a lady rescued us.

Since then life has been GREAT. I am at my foster Mommy's house in Houston, Texas and she is wonderful. I (also my siblings) have all the food that I can eat and a big and warm bed. But this is just a temporary situation, see what I really want is a human family that would love and take care of me. In return, I will be their companion, friend, confident and love them unconditionally forever.

So my bags are packed and ready to go. If you think that you can offer me a good home please contact my foster mom at hollyoshea02@gmail.com or fill out an application at http://forgottendogs.org/adoption_application.html.

BTW..... very important, I am working diligently on potty and crate training, but it is still work in progress. I am barely 7 weeks old and around 8 pounds - so I will like 30 to 35 lb. when I grow up.
Thanks for listening to my story.

Love,
Bentley

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bentley, a Houston Shar Pei puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Houston, or seeking a Shar Pei puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
