My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Velvet was found as a stray and brought into our rescue, she is extremely loving and sweet but because of her past She does not do well with other dogs as she was attacked in the past. She will not go out of her way to attack another dog but she is fearful so I wouldn't push her into a living situation with one, although proper supervised play dates would be fine I think.

Now that we got the bad out of the way, THE GOOD! She loves to play fetch and is a very active and play driven dog, she has a dumbbell toy that you can toss for hours and she will bring back every time. She enjoys long walks (She is the best dog on a leash I have ever seen) so she would make a good hiking partner, provided she is never off leash. (She does fine off leash in my unfenced yard as long as I am outside with her) She would be fine in a normal park setting, but I would avoid dog parks and off leash parks to keep from stressing her out. She is very cuddly and loves to snuggle but she has a habit of jumping up for hugs (easily trainable).

I am looking to place her in a home with no other pets (cats are fine), I think a young active woman or couple would do well but she may take some time warming up to males. A yard with a tall fence would be great, but she is not to be left unsupervised as she will jump it to wander if the fence is low enough.
