Meet Levi. Look at the sweet face on this shy boy. He is an awesome 2 year old dog. Just a nice boy. He is a bit shy but will try and engage others to play by going down on his elbows with is butt in the air. He likes to follow the humans around like there is velcro attached. He will look outside of his kennel for some eye contact and give you those gorgeous puppy dog eyes. He just wants some good love and attention. Levi would make a good snuggler because he would just like to be with you. He is a favorite at the shelter because he is a clean boy, no messes in his kennel. He would make a great candidate for a family with kids or even a senior. Does Levi sound like your kind of dog? Fill out an application

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)
NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
