Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ludwig was picked up as a stray in Gwinnett County. This senior gentleman is friendly with people and other dogs. Ludwig is neutered and up-to-date on shots. He has a chronic right ear infection and is allergic to corn, yeast, wheat, gluten, salmon, rice, white potatoes, and he has some contact allergies. He is now 100% blind and at least 50% deaf. Ludwig has been sick for a long time, so his disposition is not always happy-go-lucky, and this is understandable. He takes SSRI for aggression. Ludwig enjoys going on car rides and really enjoys short, slow walks when the weather is cool. He loves to sunbathe in the driveway but hates walking in the heat and will just stop if has had enough! He requires a home that will have time to prepare his meals like a human since he is on a very strict diet. It is understood that he may have abandonment issues as he becomes depressed when left alone. We are lucky in that we work opposite schedules and have an excellent dogsitter. Ludwig sometimes needs reassurance now that he can no longer see. He sleeps in our bed and will sometimes stand at the bed and bark if he is ready to go to sleep and we are not. LUDWIG IS TERRIFIED OF THUNDER AND FIREWORKS! Ludwig may snap if he has been sleeping and someone tries to pet him - typical of deaf and/or blind dogs. Even with these issues, Ludwig is a doll and so, so very loving. He would do so well in a family with just adults who have the time, patience, and love to devote to him.
