Lucy's Story...
Lucy was born in someone's backyard 5 months ago where she was pretty much ignored by the people in the house. So much so that even when she broke her front leg it went unnoticed and healed on its own. It is noticeably crooked but she does not let it slow her down one bit! She is an active and playful little girl, but listens well and calms down when it is cuddling time. She is good with dogs of all sizes and learning to not chase cats (she is not aggressive with them, she just wants to play!). She is comfortable sleeping alone in a crate, she does go outside with other dogs and goes potty. She is a very happy girl who wants to play and please you, and enjoys being around older children. She has very soft fur that doesn't seem to shed, and is just a sweetheart who deserves an indoor forever home. Lucy's adoption fee includes her spay, vaccination and a microchip.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Phoenix Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
