Foster Family Observations:

Jack is a great well rounded puppy. He loves to run around and play, and also loves time on your lap! He can get a little excited at times and we are working on making sure he doesn't jump up too much. Jack is very intelligent and is learning his basic commands, including going to his kennel when told "kennel"! He is paper trained and is now learning to go potty outside - he doesn't even seem to mind WI winters! Jack's breed is a herding breed, so we recommend that he does not go to a home with young children OR if the children are young that they have dog experience.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Oak Creek Blue Heeler/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler/Australian Shepherd for sale in Oak Creek, or seeking a Blue Heeler/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Oak Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Blue Heeler/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
