My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Wrigley! I’m so hoping there is somebody out there that won’t mind adopting a middle aged doggie like me! I’m around 5-6 years old, but I still have so much life left in me & more love than you can imagine. I’m a German Shepherd mix that weighs probably around 55 lbs. If you want a loyal, gentle, all around great natured dog, then good news: you don’t have to look any further. I am a very good boy. The great thing about my age is I am way past all of that puppy behavior. I have not had a single accident in my foster home since I was neutered (ouch)! I just follow my foster mom around like a shadow & hope she’ll stop and give me some love. I’m good on a leash and like to go for walks. My foster mom crates me when she’s at work during the day & at night when she sleeps. She doesn’t really think I need to be crated but she does it just to be sure I’m kept safe. I love to sunbathe & I think chasing tennis balls is really stupid but I do like to carry them around in my mouth and toss them up in the air from time to time. I listen really well & am very smart. If I’m doing something you don’t like and you tell me to stop, I stop right away. I want to make you happy! I’m very good with other dogs, however, I love people so much that I don’t really need to be adopted with another dog…..just need people that will love me back. I love kids. I would really like someone that will be home with me. My foster mom works a lot, and it’s kind of a bummer because I spend all day waiting for her to come home. It was really sad when my owners didn’t want me anymore & it broke my heart. I am very hopeful there is someone out there that will make me a part of their family so that I can have a new start!
