Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shelton is a sweet tempered 2 year old Basset Hound /Lab mix. But don't let the short legs fool you. He loves to tear around the yard, either just running for the love of it, or to chase after a toy or his foster brother. He lives in a foster home with a Black Lab and a Terrier, and loves playing with both. He got along well with them from the minute he arrived. He also took to the doggie door right away and hasn't had an accident inside since. Shelton loves to be wherever the people are. If you’re watching TV, he's lying by the sofa. If you’re at the computer, he's at your feet. He's good in a crate, where he stays most of the time during the day. After work, he wants to be where the action is and loves to play fetch with a rope bone. At night he's content to lie on the rug next to the bed, or on the sofa if no one is looking. He loves to be petted and to give you his paw to get your attention. Shelton has a beautiful tan and white coat. He stays very still at baths, although he's still glad when they are over and he is not a big barker. If someone comes close to the house, he'll bark to let you know, but other than that stays pretty quiet. He's so sweet natured and seems to always be smiling. He's a really happy guy and while we haven't seen him around kids, he sure loves to play with other dogs. Shelton's a great dog whose first love seems to be to just be around people.
