My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a 1-year-old neutered male Wire Fox Terrier mix. I weigh about 12 pounds. When first meeting me, I can be a little nervous and timid, but once I am comfortable with you, we'll be the best of friends! I'm totally adorable and I'm pretty petite so taking me with you everywhere shouldn't be a problem. I could use a little exposure anyway. My previous family adopted me from a local high-kill shelter back in November and attempted to return me just 2 short months later with no explanation as to why they no longer wanted me. Some volunteers at the shelter were there and they talked my previous owners into keeping me long enough for them to find a rescue that would take me in. Thankfully, CageFree stepped up! They tell me that I am super lucky because no matter what happens, I will never spend another night in a scary shelter again. I couldn't tell you how happy I was to hear that. While I hang out with all my canine companions, my friends here are working hard to find me a new forever home. I'm looking for a family that will go slow with me and understand that I need my space and time to get comfortable with my surroundings. I'm also pretty young so an active family would be perfect.
