My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES ILSA INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!

Ilsa came to us via a high intake shelter that found her in their night drop box.

After her stray hold was up, they contacted us to take her to rescue.

Immediately we recognized this is just a baby, at approx. 5-6 months old.

The 5th day here she started vomiting and was rushed to the vet in the midst of a bad heavy snow storm, where she was admitted.

She had it, the dreaded Parvo.

Thankfully medications and support was given and she's made a full recovery with no side effects or health issues.

Little Miss Spitfire is a busy girl. Ilsa has had little to no training and we have started her with crate training and house manners and some basic training,

however just imagine, she's only 3-4 months old because of the lack of training, she's got some catching up to do, but let me tell you, this girl is smart as a whip.

she learned the sit command in 1 min.

She is doing all the typical herding things that Shepherds do, ankle nipping and blocking, walking in front of you or between your legs to deter you, she thinks it's a game and is having fun.

It's very possible that Ilsa is a working line GS, she appears to be purebred, however we cannot authenticate that, but her personality and busy girl attitude

shows she'd like to have a job.

Ilsa will need the full range of obedience & ongoing training and an adopter must agree to this in our adoption contract.

This will help build her confidence and teach her boundaries and bond with her new family.

She is being fostered in a home with other dogs but her rambunctious behavior may be too much for small dogs and cats in the home and small children.

She is such a busy and active girl she will need the full attention of her new family to work and train with her.

If you would like to make Ilsa a member of your family please apply with this rescue

at the link below, Ilsa is fostered in Tennessee and transport to NE adopters is available.
