Ben's Story...
Two weeks ago we took in an entire litter of purebred German Shepherd puppies! They were born 12-5-07. Both of their parents are AKC registered. Their father was a police dog- and they all show signs of his intelligence! They love to run and play with my children and throw and tug on their flossy, rope toys. They all get along very well with our other small and large breed dogs. They will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. Our pets also come with a Shelter Care Pet Health Insurance Policy ; ) Get your application in today, save a life from the South!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ben, a Elmwood German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Elmwood, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Elmwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
