JOY. Cute as can be and a model citizen. Joy (who will bring much of that to your heart) is a six year old miniature red smooth spayed female dachshund who needs a new home due to family circumstances. She is waiting to give you delicate little kisses. She is a snuggler and a real love. She has the greatest personality and is eager to please and learn the rules. Don't miss out on this little winner!
UPDATE from Foster Mom: Joy continues to be a real love. She is very fond of our boy Wrigley and is really coming out of her shell. She found her bark this afternoon...thanks to Wrigley being the instigator...barking at the railroad workers behind our house. She's gentle, smart, cuddly, and will make someone an EXCELLENT new family member. She has NO issues what-so-ever.
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues.
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
