Bonnie's Story...
The Humane Officer brought Bonnie to the shelter, she looks like a Corgi mix. She is friendly but a bit timid and nervous, not quite understanding why she is at the shelter. She is somewhat nervous by nature and would hide under the bed in her previous home until she felt safe but once she does she is quite friendly. She would do best in a home with no other female dogs, cats and male dogs are okay. She understands the word, no and will come when called. Bonnie walks nicely on a leash and would be a good walking buddy. Bonnie weighs 32 pounds.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bonnie, a Somerset Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Somerset, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Somerset.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Somerset already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Somerset breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Somerset paves the way for another one to be saved.
