Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MEET BAILEY:
BAILEY is like the knights of old; he is a true gentleman. He is brave, adventurous, charming, wise and kind. While at home in his castle, BAILEY enjoys affectionate cuddles and closeness with the people of his kingdom. He likes other dogs and older kids. BAILEY also enjoys walks immensely, is leash trained and even enjoys watching a bit of TV with his family. BAILEY is a 5.5 year old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. He is quiet and well behaved. Like most other knights though, he does have his dragons...BAILEY will do best in a cat free castle. If you think you would like the opportunity to become the forever family for this little gentleman, please visit www.odr-inc.org and complete an adoption questionnaire.
OUR CRITERIA (aka the Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues.
WHAT YOU GET IN RETURN WITH YOUR LITTLE RESCUE:
All our dogs are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Pyrantyl, nails trimmed, and dental when needed. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, sorry no exceptions, as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
Can you give BAILEY a happy, carefree life again? If interested, please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.odr-inc.org and email it to: jrangan@comcast.net - the adoption committee will be in touch with you within 48 hours so please be patient as we are solely volunteer run.
